About

My name is Chris, and I’m a nature and wildlife photographer based near Vancouver, BC in Tsawwassen (Delta). I’m very fortunate to live in this part of the world where I can be in a tidal mudflat photographing migratory birds in the morning, and be near the top of a mountain the same afternoon. My favourite subjects are forests, mountains, raptors (eagles, owls, hawks, etc.) and shorebirds.

I’ve been immersed in photography off and on since the late 90’s when I would shoot copious amounts of film. In the time since, I’ve used almost every brand of equipment. I am currently using Nikon’s professional mirrorless cameras and lenses.

I invite you to take a look through my galleries, and if you have any questions, would like to order a print, or discuss licensing terms please feel free to reach out via my contact page.

Ethics

All wildlife photos on this website were taken in the wild: no baiting, no calls, no zoos. I am an ethical wildlife photographer who does not disturb wildlife, cause stress, or habituate (bait) with food.

When it comes to nature and landscape photography my approach is similar: leave no trace, no location tagging.
